Series commences December 1792
April 1793 - Elizabeth and Nathaniel elope, marrying at the Schuyler Estate. "ITW ch XXIII - ch XXV"
Late June 1793 - Elizabeth and Nathaniel leave Good Pasture. Elizabeth is pregnant, Nathaniel recovered from his gunshot wound. "ITW ch XLIII"
Late Summer / August 1793 - Elizabeth and Nathaniel travel to Albany to see the Judge about the court case brought by Richard Todd. Nathaniel deposits funds into the Bank under the name James Scott and Elizabeth meets Samuel Hench, a relative of her mother's. "ITW ch L & ch LXII". Chingachgook and Moses Southern die at Lake in the Clouds. "ITW ch LI"
September 1793 - the school's first recital, the wedding of Polly and Benjamin "ITW ch LV". Billy Kirby sets the schoolhouse on fire - with Hannah inside. Julian marries Kitty and dies soon after from injuries sustained at the school fire. "ITW ch LVI". Ethan Middleton was born the following day. "ITW ch LVII".
September 1793 - Billy Kirby is killed. He is pushed off the edge of the mountain by Nathaniel. "ITW ChLVII"
October 1793 - Elizabeth slipped and fell into the gorge at Lake in the Clouds. "ITW ch LX".
Christmas Eve 1793 - Robbie MacLachlan? arrives at Lake in the Clouds with Angus Moncrieff claiming Hawkeye is related to the Earl of Carryck. "ITW ch LXII"

25 June 1802 - Scarlet Fever (or Canker Rash or Strawberry Tongue) is discovered in Paradise. Eulalia Wilde dies. "LIC ch39"

Early September 1812 - Luke, Jennet & Simon Ballentyne arrive in Paradise. "FAS ch1"
Late September 1812 - The twins have left Paradise; Lily to Montreal, Daniel with Blue-Jay to fight in the war. "FAS ch7"
November 1812 - Dolly Wilde dies at Lake in the Clouds. "FAS ch10 & ch15"
December 1812 - Widow Kuick dies at home. "FAS ch12"
24 December 1812 - Richard Todd dies while watching the firecrackers with Bump. "FAS ch13"
24 December 1812 - Martha & Callie find Cookie Fiddler, drowned under the ice. "FAS ch13" Cookie's remains are recovered from the lake - a great gash on the back of her head, suspected made by a piece of firewood. Her death ruled as murder. "FAS ch15"
24 December 1812 - Nicholas Wilde marries Jemima Southern Kuick in Johnstown. "FAS ch15"
January 1813 - Richard Todd's will is read - beneficiaries being, Hannah (medical practice, books, supplies, laboratory and land as well as Richard's body - for science), Curiosity (house, farm and money to maintain them), Daisy and her daughters (Kitty's clothes, shoes and trinkets), Joshua Hench and son (chemicals, materials and money to make firecrackers as well as money for the boy to study at the African Free School in New-York? City), Elizabeth (books, the mule Horace, money to have the school house built and land in the town proper, annual sum of $100 for maintenance and to hire a teacher when she is ready), his uncle Cornelius Bump (1000 acres of virgin timberland, $5000 and the same amount for Richard's brother if he could be found among the Mohawk), and Ethan (the rest of the money and land under the condition that he leave Paradise for 2 full years.) 15 January 1813 - The Inquest regarding the death of Cookie Fiddler commences. The letter written by Isaiah Kuick is presented - dated 24 April 1802, informing the court of his relationship with Ambrose Dye and Jemima Southern. "FAS ch18"
Winter early 1813 - Lily and Simon meet Sawatis and Spotted Fox in the forests, learning that Blue-Jay and Daniel had been taken prisioner to Nut Island. "FAS ch23"
6 March 1813 - Hannah and Jennet are at Nut Island in the followers camp seeing to the injured, including Blue-Jay and Daniel. "FAS ch25"
1813 - Liam Kirby is injured when the SS Feret goes down and is taken to Nut Island where he crosses paths with Daniel and Hannah. Hannah tells Liam about Martha (and that Martha knows who her biological father is). "FAS ch37"
Summer 1813 - Lily is attacked by Justus Rising (and rescued by Martha Kuick) and with Curiosity's help, Callie buys the orchard from Rev. Stiles (Justus' uncle) for $40 and the Rev. and Justus leave town. "FAS ch39"
July 1813 - Father O'Neill (aka Anselme D'egre) discovers the truth about Jennet and Luke at Nut Island and forces her to go with him, or be hanged as a spy (along with Luke) as well as her brother, the Earl, to forfeit all he owns to the King. Luke finds a note explaining this, along with two tarot cards - the 7 of swords and the queens of swords - from Jennet and vows to find her. "FAS ch40"
July 1813 (25 June 1813? "FAS ch41")- Liam dies at Nut Island, just before the ship "Fair Winds" organised by Luke sailed with the prisioners (including Daniel and Blue-Jay) under the Royal Navy colours (also aboard was Many-Doves). Colonel Caudebec and the paymasters are murdered (at Nut Island) and two months pay for a thousand men stolen (Kit Wyndham was there and takes charge of the situation). "FAS ch 40"
Before August 1813 - Lily and Simon are married and so are Blue-Jay and Teres. "FAS ch41"
abt August 1813 - Father O'Neill is announced as the person responsible for the murders at Nut Island, the theft of almost 5000 pounds and the abduction of Jennet. "FAS ch41"
August 1813 - a letter arrives at Lake in the Clouds from Mr. Prime of Manhattan - a lawyer responsible for Liam Kirby's affairs. Martha has been named his heir and Will Spencer and Nathaniel Bonner are to be her guardians. Liam left everything he owned to Martha, making her a very wealthy woman. Liam had inherited a substantial amount from Mrs Nora Kerr of Park St Manhattan. "FAS ch41"
August 1813 - Luke returns to Lake in the Clouds without Jennet. He wants Hannah to go with him to continue the search for Jennet. "FAS ch42"

Queen of Swords

Book commences March 1814
August 1814 - L'Ile de Lamantins, French Antilles; Kit Wyndham is with Hannah and Luke in the search for Jennet and Anselme Degre.
21 August 1814 - Luke, Hannah & Kit finally locate them at Priest's Town - where Luke shoots Degre. Luke then discovers that Jennet had given birth to his son 3mths ago, named him Nathaniel and had him smuggled away to safety. "QOS ch1 & 2"
31 August 1814 - Luke & Jennet are married in Port-au-Prince?, Saint-Domingue (Hayti) in a Catholic Church. They left that same day aboard the 'Patience' for Pensacola in Spanish Florida in search of the baby. "QOS ch4"
abt 25 September 1814 - Titine delivers Hannah's backpack to Jennet, filled her apron with herbs for Hannah, headed back to the city....and disappeared. "QOS ch16"
1 October 1814 - Hannah wakes after a week suffering of swamp fever (Malaria) at Madame Noelle Soileau's establishment. "QOS ch14"
October 1814 - Hannah finds herself (still ill) at the Savard's - surprised to see Dr Paul Savard and meeting his family, Julia, Rachel, Henry and half-brother Jean-Beniot?. "QOS ch15"
12 November 1814 - Baby Nathaniel is taken from the Poiterin's home on the Bayou St.John and returned to Jennet who is hidden at the Savard home. "QOS ch18, 19, 23"
Late Fall 1814 - Ben takes Hannah into the Indian part of the city. She is to start a clinic for those who have nowhere else to go. Rachel tells Jennet she is crazy about M. Reynaud. "QOS ch22"
26 November 1814 - Luke had been pressed into service on the 'Puma' two days out of Pensacola and after nearly 4mths at sea he is in New Orleans via Brazil. "QOS ch23 & 24"
Late November 1814 (First Sunday of Advent) - Jennet leaves the Savard home for the first time since going into hiding; with Rachel they explore the city while most people attend mass. While they were out they met with Christian Reynaud (Rachel's crush) - who turns out to be Kit Wyndham, a spy posing as a merchant. "QOS ch25" That same day, Ben takes Hannah to Congo Square where she meets Maman Antoinette and her daughter Maman Zuzu. She also tells Ben of Kit Wyndham. "QOS ch26" While Hannah is inside speaking with Maman Zuzu, Ben surprises Luke, assuming he is Kit and knocks him unconcious - which Hannah doesn't discover until uncovering the wagon at the clinic. "QOS ch27"
Late November 1814 - Luke gives Hannah a letter that had been sent care of Giselle at Port-au-Prince?. It states that Elizabeth gave birth to a daughter, Curiosity (Carrie) Bonner on 29 November 1813, Curiosity Freeman is not well, Martha Kirby is in Manhattan with the Spencers, Ethan is also in Manhattan, Daniel is the teacher at Paradise School and Lily and Simon have returned to Montreal. "QOS ch29"
Late November 1814 - Hannah receives a message at the clinic to go to Titine's Aunt at Maison Verde. When she arrives she meets Amazilie, her son Tibere and Caspar, Titine's husband who is dying of snake bite, who had disappeared 1wk after their marriage. Honore had sold Caspar and it is revealed he did the same to Titine even though she is a Free Woman of Colour. Titine learnt that Honore is working with the British and Major Wyndham is mentioned. One night Titine sets the Sugarhouse on fire and she dies within it. "QOS ch 30, 31 & 37" At the same time Luke, Jennet, Paul and Julia go out to meet the Livingstons to introduce Luke and arrange to have him take on the position of secretary and taking the first step to outwit Honore Poiterin. "QOS ch30 & 31"
1 December 1814 - Luke, Jennet and Nathaniel move into the Livingston's home which provides protection from the Poiterin's. "QOS ch35"
Early December 1814 - Honore lays a trap for Hannah, forcing her into the clinic - assulting her for an entire night for the humiliation he felt for Jennet and the baby being taken from him and his grandmother. "QOS ch38"
19 December 1814 - Ben finds Kit and extracts a letter at gunpoint admitting that Honore Poiterin is actively spying for the Crown. "QOS ch40 & 41" That night the Poiterin Plantation "Lariviere" is ransacked and burned - with Agnes Poiterin inside. Two other nearby Poiterin plantations suffer the same fate. Honore is at Fort St.John when this occurs and when awakened discovers a verve belonging to the spirit Erzulie on the floor of his tent - Hannah finds something similar, although hers seems to be one of protection. "QOS ch41 & 42"
20 December 1814 - the postal rider delivers Kit's letter to General Jackson while in the company of Edward Livingston and Luke Bonner. "QOS ch41" Honore is missing from his militia company. "QOS ch42"
abt 22 December 1814 - Kit has rejoined the British forces and is part of the capture of the Villere Plantation, which will become British Headquarters during the Battle of New Orleans. "QOS ch45"
23 December 1815 - Hannah (as a doctor in a field hospital) and Luke join Ben in the Choctaw Militia. "QOS ch46 & 47" Luke is shot returning to the Savards after the battle. "QOS ch48"
24 December 1814 - Nathaniel snr and Runs-From-Bears arrive in New Orleans. "QOS ch48" Nathaniel, Bears, Luke and Ben go hunting together. "QOS ch50 & 53"
25 December 1814 - Ben leaves the Savard house after meeting Nathaniel and Runs-from-Bears and returns to the Choctaw militia. "QOS ch50" Major General Sir Edward Pakenham arrives to lead the British and reunites with Kit Wyndham. "QOS ch51" Honore Poiterin marries Noelle Soileau in the brothel. "QOS ch51" The entire Savard and Bonner families are invited to a Christmas Party at the Livingston's. "QOS ch50 & 53"
1 January 1815 - Honore is still hiding in Noelle's room in the brothel and is suffering hallucinations. "QOS ch58"
5 January 1815 - The rich send their wives and children out of the city; including Mrs Livingston, Rachel and Henry. Julia Savard, Jennet and Hannah refuse to go. "QOS 61"
7 January 1815 - Honore is convinced by Noelle to go help the British by getting access to a stockpile of ammunition at Le Tonneau. "QOS ch60" A girl from Mme. Soileau's arrives at Ben's and Hannah's apartment with a letter for Ben that says 'He goes to Le Tonneau after midnight'. Ben tells Hannah that Honore has been hiding at the brothel since the night his grandmother died in the fire and that he hasn't been turned in because Noelle had plans for him. "QOS ch61" Nathaniel, Bears, Luke and Ben head to Le Tonneau to lay in wait for Honore Poiterin but discover the British are already there - and led by Kit Wyndham. While the men have the British tied up, a bullet from Honore Poiterin shoots Kit. "QOS ch62"
8 January 1815 - Nathaniel takes Hannah to the field hospital to see to Kit, but he died of his injury. "QOS ch62" Ben is shot in the foot and also taken to the field hospital. Hannah tells Ben of what happened to Strikes-the-Sky explaining because she wants to ask him to go home with her - but she never wants to have anything to do with war; and that means that he is not to leave her to fight. He agrees and has been waiting for her to ask him to go with her. Poiterin is brought into the field hospital, covered in blood, pulls a gun on Hannah just as Ben stabs Honore through the heart. (Ben's life in New Orleans is over as the Creoles will never tolerate a coloured man that has killed one of their own.) "QOS ch63 & 64" The Battle of New Orleans was won by the Americans. "QOS ch64"
Mid January 1815 - The Bonners and Rachel Livingston (on her way to her Uncle's home in Manhattan) leave New Orleans. Two days traveling they meet up with Ben Savard. "QOS ch65"
17 April 1815 - The Bonners and Ben arrive Home in Paradise. Nathaniel jnr is now referred to as Nathan, Hannah and Ben married on the way home, Curiosity thinks that Ben reminds her of Galileo. Ben and Hannah are living with Curiosity, Simon and Lily are living in Montreal. "QOS Epilogue"
